For builders and manufacturers
How your listing works
What we publish about a builder, where it comes from, and how to have it corrected or removed.
How a builder is listed
-
We check identity first
A builder is listed after we check its identity, its role and whether it is operating. The operating status shows the date it was last checked.
-
Prices come from your site
Every price on a listing comes from the builder's own website, with the date we checked it and a link to the page it came from.
-
Gaps stay gaps
A builder we could not confirm shows as not stated or not checked. It is never shown as operating, and it is not shown as closed.
Payment and position
Payment is not an input to any ranking, ordering or match. A builder cannot pay for a better position, a longer profile or a different label.
Photographs on your listing
We use photographs from a builder's own website on its listing, without asking first, and tell the builder afterwards. We take any photograph down when asked.
- Each photograph is credited as "Photograph by" the builder, with the credit linking to the builder's gallery.
- To have photographs removed, reply with the word "remove". You do not need to give a reason.
- The listing stays whether or not you let us keep the photographs. It does not depend on them.
- A photograph is never used as evidence of size. Our own drawing is made to the listed dimensions, and a photograph is labelled as a photograph.
If you would rather I did not use them, reply with the word "remove" and I will take them down the same day. You do not need to give a reason, and your listing stays either way. From the note we send to builders
Asking for a correction or removal
The correction channel is not open yet, so there is nowhere to send a request from this page today. When it opens it will be listed here and on the contact page.
See how we check things for what counts as confirmed.
What is not decided yet
This page makes no offer. Fees, how enquiries reach builders, and any arrangement for introductions or leads have not been settled, so none is described here. We do not pass enquiries to builders yet. When any of this is decided it will be published here with its terms.
